Brand Guidelines & Trademark Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
Solveaux provides an open architecture protocol (.slvx) alongside a proprietary cloud governance platform. These guidelines explain how community developers, AI plugin authors, and partners may reference the Solveaux brand and use our compatibility badges.
The Solveaux Trademark
Preserving community trust and identity
"Solveaux", the Solveaux logo, and our architectural governance marks are trademarks owned exclusively by Solveaux. The purpose of this policy is to prevent market confusion and ensure developers always know when they are interacting with the official platform versus third-party community extensions.
Always capitalize the initial "S" and write in title case. Never write SOLVEAUX, solveaux, or SolveAux in prose.
The official protocol extension is strictly .slvx (stored locally under .slvx/).
Permitted Community Use
You are welcome and encouraged to use the Solveaux mark to describe compatibility:
- ✓Descriptive titles: "Acme Connector for Solveaux" or "VS Code Extension for Solveaux".
- ✓Protocol support: "Compatible with the .slvx specification" or "Parses Solveaux architecture blocks".
- ✓Badge embeds: Embedding the official "Governed by Solveaux" badge in open-source repositories.
- ✓Articles & tutorials: Publishing technical evaluations, benchmarks, and tutorials referencing Solveaux.
Strictly Prohibited
To protect developers from deception, the following uses are strictly forbidden:
- ✕Brand squatting: Naming a tool, company, or project starting with "Solveaux" (e.g. "Solveaux AI", "Solveaux Cloud").
- ✕Package namespace squatting: Registering packages on npm, PyPI, or crates.io under bare
solveaux. - ✕Domain squatting: Registering domain names containing "solveaux" (e.g. solveaux-cloud.dev).
- ✕Logo modification: Distorting, recoloring, or altering the official Solveaux emblem.
- ✕False endorsement: Stating or implying that Solveaux officially sponsors or certifies your product.

Open Spec vs. Proprietary Cloud Platform
Clear legal demarcation between format and SaaS
Solveaux follows the proven Open Standard / Commercial Engine dual-architecture:
The .slvx Specification
The Markdown block format, YAML frontmatter schemas, and .slvx conventions published in SOLVEAUX_PROTOCOL.md are open for any editor, IDE, or agent to generate without licensing fees.
The Solveaux Platform
The multi-tenant cloud sync engine, MCP server backend, visual graph rendering pipeline, role-based governance controls, and enterprise audit logs are closed-source, proprietary commercial software governed by our Terms of Service.
